Screen Flicker

I am new to wine and I am trying to play Jedi Knight 2 version 1.04. I have installed it fine, but when I try to play it, the screen is constantly flickering. This does not happen with some of my other games. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope and the latest version of wine. Is there something I can do to diagnose or fix this problem? I'm using the default drivers. I have an HP G70-460US laptop.

What does wine --version indicate? wine-1.1.25 or wine-1.1.0?

if the latter, you might want to check on winehq.org - download to get the newest version

Well I took your suggestion and upgraded to the latest version of wine. Still no luck. The screen is constantly flickering white. Are there any other common solutions? Thank you.

I receive the same results with jedi academy.

Ok well I was able to resolve this issue. For anyone who is experiencing similar screen flicker and is using an Intel graphics card, I resolved this issue using this guide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1130582
