Hey. I was wondering if anyone, perhaps those who already use FL a lot, could help me with this.
I'm running wine staging 9.11 version on Mint 21.2. At first I had a problem in FL where the internal windows would look glitchy if you moved them around (and it would be fixed if you resized them)
But changing "renderer" from the registry to OpenGL with winetricks seems to have fixed that, so I wonder if the staging version uses Vulkan by default...?
Now, pretty much everything in the program works, including even the usage of 64-bit VST plugins and VST3 plugins.
I noticed however that, dragging and dropping 32-bit plugins into the channel rack would cause the program to hang.
However I know that it's not for a lack of support for the plugins themselves and is probably tied to rendering their interface, because by opening a project file that has a 32-bit plugin in use, the plugin will function normally as long as I don't click on the channel using it which activates the window for its interface. If I do FL freezes entirely.
Any suggestions?
EDIT: I would also like to point out that I tried "yabridge" however that's not very useful, only really for running Windows VSTs on Linux DAWs.

Using the 32 bit Wine prefix instead of the 64 bit prefix might be better in your case.
Re: FL Studio (64-bit) and 32-bit VST plugins (it works BUT...)
Not really. FL 21 is 64-bit only. And even if it had a 32-bit version, I'd need more memory for some heavier plugins.
And as I said, 32-bit plugins themselves do work (when loading a saved project that uses one), I just can't open their graphical interface within FL or it freezes.
It probably isn't anything too difficult to solve I imagine, but I'm not sure.

Hey, friend, sorry for the late response!
Had the same stuff just like you. You have to use jBridge to convert 32bit vst plugin into 64bit and THEN it will work, it may have some graphical glitches, but you can configure it a lil' bit and to remove 'em.
Cheers!
