GarminExpress.exe needs

Post by Crypto71 »

Hi,

I would like to run GarminExpress.exe on my debian type linux. This is a tool that would update my mobile navigation device connected via USB to install latest map updates.

What I get is a form that says
"Für das Garmin Express-Setup ist Microsoft .NET Framework erforderlich." ("For Garmin Express-Setup Microsoft.NET framework is required.")

so GarminExpress does not yet run. Form also contains a button that says "Akzeptieren und installieren" ("Accept and install") but when I press it it switches to a progress bar that obviously should indicate a installation process, but this ends up in nothing and does nothing, it is just absorbed.

Which .NET files should be installed from where and which version(s)? There are so many different versions and so many different sources from where to install.

Thanks for your kind support.
