Wine and Mono

Post by dominicelliott »

Hello. I'm trying to use Wine to run an application, but this report that I need to install "Mono for Windows"
I supposedly did it but now I'm not sure how to call it correctly.
i.e Normally I use this command 'wine application.exe'

But as it requested to use Mono for Windows I'm not sure if this should change to 'mono application.exe' or 'wine mono application.exe'

Anyway I tried both and none of them works...

Any idea about the right way, just to confirm the correct path to follow....

Thanks

When creating a WINEPREFIX for the first time, it should ask you to install Wine Mono and Wine Gecko.

Wine Mono is the Wine fork of Mono.

Then try this:

You have to scroll all the way down to get the latest version.
