Is there Anyway to make the shell transparent?

Post by YamiHirozawa »

I'm using a vtuber app called VMagicMirror, the app has an option to make the background transparent, which leaves just the character visible. In wine this results in a black background.
With this mode, there is also a second transparency that makes the character transparent if the mouse is over the character, this works as intended.

My guess is the normal background is actually becoming invisible but wine is making a shell window for the game to render in, and that is black.

I'm wondering if there was some code I could change to make the shell base not render or have a 0 alpha?

-----
The app is open source so I'll try to look at the code to see if I can make the background transparency work the same way the second one does, but while I've had pretty good luck reworking code in the past, I am not a programmer by any stretch, so I might not even be able to figure it out.

Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated
