Minimum Font Size

I'm wanting to enforce a minimum font size in a game where the text is ridiculously small. Afaik, there isn't any easy way to do this in either windows or wine, but I was wondering if anyone has any great ideas on how it might be achieved?
Perhaps mucking with source code of some wine dll, or Freetype?

Have you tried changing the screen resolution (dpi) in winecfg → Graphics?

Yes, it has no impact on the game.
