windows app seems to be in read-only mode

I'm new to wine. The only reason I have a Windows PC still running at home is to run a recipe program called MasterCook 20. I installed wine 8.0.2 on my Linux Mint 21.2 system and then used it to install the MasterCook.exe I had for installation. The only issue I had doing installation is a lot of the text was blank and I had to go with my memory of what the questions may have been. Not sure if that is the source of my issue, but when I run the program it's basically in Read only mode and I can't edit or create anything new. If I try to edit, it gives me a "Windows Resources are critically low" error. If I try to add a new recipe I get a read-only error.

If I could reinstall with the text present that might tell me the missing part?
EDIT: I think the text problem is white on white as I can sort of see a shadow of text in the white box. I just can't read it.
