The Notes section says "winetricks d3dx9_43" and the howto includes somewhat more.. however, going through all the steps, trying with a blank wine profile, the how-to, or just the d3d trick -- the result is always the same. I've tried Proton as well, same thing.
It might be worth noting that I'm using an Intel GPU rather than the tested AMD GPU. Intel UHD P750. I did set Timidity up for MIDI sound output, no change in the crash.
