Hello all,
Mint 19.2 XFCE (ubuntu 18.04) has wine 4.x in its repository.
What is the best approach to installing wine for me?
Sincere thanks!

You can follow the Ubuntu 18.04 manual
https://wiki.winehq.org/Ubuntu
If you can't figure something out, please let me know.
(Currently, Wine 8.0-rc1 is not yet available for Ubuntu 18.04)

Re: Best install of wine on Mint 19.2 XFCE (ubuntu 18.04) ??
Thank you jkfloris
I watched a Youtube video explaining the best way obtain the latest compatible version.
I went to the downloads section here and navigated into the "Ubuntu" section - and then to Ubuntu 18.04 (which is mint 19.2)
I followed the instructions on that page and now have wine 7.0.1
Nice!!
However - if you have any info on the issue of display resolution in wine I would be very grateful.
I have a previous install of Linux Lite - and I believe Wine 5x installed in it.
That installation of Linux is loaded in a different hard drive.
I can swap hard drives easily - back and forth between Mint 19.2 and Linux Lite
I have a certain video game that I currently enjoy in the Linux Lite system
The display resolution is correct for that game.
However, I found when I installed it into Mint 19.2 - the display resolution is totally off and I can't figure out how to fix it.
Any suggestions would be very appreciated!
Thanks!
