Is there a plan to update wine to work with Monterey?

Post by hoodlumswitch »

I have a new macbook pro that was given to me with Monterey 12.4 downloaded onto it. I've been trying all the free options I have for running windows programs, but none seem to work with my OS. Should I hold out hope that wine will update sooner then later or buy a full program?

Upstream wine (aka Winehq) packages installed via brew provides working wine64 for modern versions of macOS. If you need to run 32Bit windows binaries you’ll need to use CrossOver (paid) or one of the many free solutions that make packages based on crossover-sources.
