Programs that require access to com ports fail to interact with ports.

I know it has been discussed before.

Wine runs fine and loads the program fine no probs till here but when the program requires access to the COM port to connect with the external machine which is connect via USB the program fails to show COM ports.

I hv also tried other windows apps which work with com ports to communicate to external devices opens fine but fails to communicate with them.
So Pls help to achieve COM ports communication.
