problem with Windows Ice compo program

Post by kenkwam » Sat Apr 13, 2019 9:51 am

hi everyone, am new with Linux, 2 weeks ago installed Manjaro and all seems truly great after tons of problems with Windows... now I have a little question about an installed win program, I was really familiar with Windows ICE composite panorama images, so I installed on Manjaro and everytime I try to open with Wine, nothing goes, meanwhile already I have other Win programs samely installed and each is running fine with wine, is something myself doing wrong with Ice program as while installing the msi downloaded program, all the process exactly well done, so I can' t see what could be the problem. Thanks to any tips as I do appreciate Linux more and more daily and sadly would have to go Linux 10 years ago lol, fully so.

This program needs wine-staging, Visual C++ 2013 and .Net 4.5.
Installing the .Net framework can break other applications in your wineprefix, so I advise to create a clean 32-bit prefix and use winetricks to install the necessary programs.
