Hi, I installed what I thought was the latest version of Wine for my installation of Ubuntu version 15.10. But after trying to install an application it transpires that it was an old version.
On a thread on this forum I was advised to "Make sure you have uninstalled everything that depends on the old Wine package, such as wine-mono and wine-gecko", but I have no idea how to achieve that. So is there something I can look at to see how I can do that.
Thanks

hi stevie123
in synaptic you can mark wine for 'complete removal' this will do the same as sudo apt-get purge.
