Without further information regarding your system and what else you've done, if any, it's difficult to say what you need. So instead I'll let you know what I've done.
I have EQ2 running right now (see the screenshot here: http://i.imgur.com/z7LNoww.jpg). You'll notice by the width of the screenshot that I have two monitors. I always run EQ2 in windowed mode because I like to multitask.

My System:
  • Xubuntu 15.10 x64
  • Nvidia v352.63
  • Wine v1.9.3
    • In Wine configuration (winecfg in Q4Wine) I have "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows" unchecked. I'm not sure if this one matters or not.
    • Windows Version is set to "Windows 7".
  • Q4Wine v1.1-r2
    • First Prefix = x64
    • Second Prefix = x32
    • From the "Setup" tab inside Q4Wine I installed: "corefonts, multiple versions of 'd3dx' (9, 10, 11), .net from v4.5 back to v3.0".
The install of "corefonts" is mandatory, otherwise launchpad.exe will crash everytime. I'm not sure if all the versions of d3dx or .net were necessary, I just put them there to have them available.
Also of note is that as of yet EQ2 will NOT run in a 64-Bit Wine prefix. It MUST be run from a 32-Bit Wine prefix. So all of the installs mentioned above refer to the 32-Bit Wine prefix. You can see from the linked screenshot above that I have both prefixes configured inside of Q4Wine. By default wine set itself up to run as 64-Bit. I added the prefix "Default-x32" to be my 32-Bit bottle.
