Can't compile WINE 1.6.2

Post by rick2210 »

Distro: PCLinuxOS, MATE desktiop, version pclinuxos64-mate-2014.12

Downloaded WINE 1.6.2, unzipped file. Opened directory & ran ./configure. Get following at end:

configure: error: X 32-bit development files not found. Wine will be built
without X support, which probably isn't what you want. You will need
to install 32-bit development packages of Xlib/Xfree86 at the very least.
Use the --without-x option if you really want this.

Where can I find the X 32 bit development files it say I need?

Presumably in one of your distro's repositories. That's really something you need to ask on your distro's support forum.
