Bug 12044 really messes up the garry's mod experience so I have made an addon to change the way you die when getting hit by a prop.

Now you can drop cars on yourself now!

Garry's mod not working (well working but having to restart every 5 minutes) was like the main reason i left Ubuntu i may now be able to go back to it

Is this client side or server side? (like if im on someones server will this work?) (edit-this looks like server side

)

It works server-side so your gonna need to play offline for a while D=

Remember, only a workaround until the wine source fixes this bug.

well untill then i can put this up on my server... it might take me a couple minutes...

If you dont mind can i use your code to make a custom gamemode so that anyone on linux can play and WILL NOT need to have your addon installed? (Of course i'll give credit to you for this awesome fix)

I think theres something wrong with my gmod, i can't host any gamemodes i've made for some reason they aren't working like they're supposed to unless garry changed something in a recent update that somehow broke them =/

I am still having a problem making a custom gamemode for this i just uploaded it to my servers addon

Could someone test this out for me(i don't have linux installed hoping to get it back on my machine in a few months)...

I'm gonna test gmod tonight, just got ubuntu installed, and i'm configuring it right now

getting stuff to run in wine can be a pain in the rear....

Sorry about this guys, but I will no longer be developing this addon. This is because for some unexplained reason, GMod has started to not crash on prop death. If I figure out why this is happening, I will post as soon as possible. Again, sorry. If you really want me to make this work for NPCs, email me: [email protected]
