I was wondering if it was at all possible to build wine on mac with win64 enabled preferably the WoW64 function that has been around since wine 1.2
My understanding is that there has been very little development in this regard, but I ask what are the challenges that have yet to be overcome to actually getting this to work on mac?
I understand this in part because a lot of win applications have 32 bit versions, but as we get later into this decade, more and more programs, games especially, are going to need the extra ram allocation that 64 bit allows. I myself am trying to run 64 bit chess engines in wine, as most of the strong proprietary chess engines are windows only, and it would be great to run the 64 bit version of these on my mac.
