If I go into winetricks and click "forcemono" in the settings, if I go back into the settings immediately after clicking OK, I see "forcemono" is deselected.
I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit running wine in 32-bit mode if that matters. Below is the output from me trying to set it a couple of times.
$ export WINEARCH=win32
$ export WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.test
$ winetricks

Do those overrides show up in winecfg?

Yes, I guess, they do. Sorry, I just expected them to be there in winetricks, but I guess I see it's not easy to get the values back.
