Visual C++ runtime library error - Math program

I appreciate everyone's guidance on this. I have installed Ubuntu 13.04 on an iMac for a friend who homeschools her 5 children. She purchased a program called Math 4 (http://www.teachingtextbooks.com/v/vspf ... /Math4.htm) (and she also has Math 3). I installed via the stock wine (likely 1.4) just fine. But when I ran the installed program, it had a Visual C++ runtime error popup message. I used the stock winetricks to install vcrun2005, but with no success....the program still pops the message. So, I removed the stock wine, and used the ppa to install wine 1.6 and the most recent winetricks. The installation went fine, but it gave the same pop up error, so I used the winetricks and still the same error. I can submit anything you need to help. Thanks.
