Latest Yahoo IM crashes after login

I tried installing Yahoo messenger the latest one but once I try to login it comes with a serious error and I can't chat or anything. Basicly it installs fine and even opens the login menu fine but once I put my e-mail and pass then it basicly crashes. Is there a way I can use Yahoo IM on Ubuntu? Or do I need to upgrade to the latest version since I' am using the stable version? I do want to thank you for you guys been helping me with issues I had in the past btw.
