Graphic Errors Running Diablo II, Starcraft

So, I installed Wine on my MacbookPro to play Diablo II and Starcraft.
Installation went smoothly, but the weird white boxes and regions are over most of the
graphics when I run the game. I tried running the game with different color settings
for X11, but that didn't help at all.
Any suggestions?

2012 MacbookPro 13", Mountain Lion
Newest versions of Wine and XQuartz.

Update: Works great in windowed mode, but would really like a fix for fullscreen.

If it works in a virtual desktop ok, you may want to try Wineskin and in its screen options set it to override->Fullscreen. It's runs Wine in a virtual desktop mode, but X11 in a fullscreen mode with no window decorations and it looks like normal full screen
