This may have been covered, but I haven't seen it mentioned specifically this way. I have installed Wine,
and copied the DLLs that the application needs from my Windows XP partition into the system32 folder
under ~/.wine. Wine still complains about not finding the DLLs. winecfg appears to provide a way to
override the DLLs that came with wine, but not to include the ones I want to add. How do I get wine to
recognize the added DLLs?
Installing Windows DLLs In Wine
Re: Installing Windows DLLs In Wine
I guess I solved it myself. I had to copy the DLLs into the system32 folder with explorer. For whatever reason,
when I copied them in with bash / linux they weren't visible to wine. Is this a normal thing?
