Does wine accepts "hosts" file?

Post by zetah » Wed Feb 15, 2012 10:30 am

Hi,

running wine-1.3.24 on Ubuntu 11.04 32 bit

I noticed "..\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts" file does not exist.
Will it work as in Windows if I create one?

TIA

Wine does not provide Internet Services directly. It uses Linux's
Internet services. If you need to add a host that is not resolved by
a public DNS server, you have to add it to the Linux host file.
