visual C++ 6 semi-success story

I use visual C++ 6 in wine to build an app.
I've been leaving MSDEV open to see how long it'll
stay up. It was fine for several days, but after a week,
it lost the ability to compile.

(No big problem, but it'd be nice to narrow this down
someday, assuming it doesn't do the same thing
on Windows.)

I used VC 6 in windows for around 5 years and many times I have had it
open for weeks with a project loaded and I have never experienced this
behavior.
