On my Acer Aspire with LinuxMint 17 Cinnamon I installed Wine and then the Dutch Windows program Koploper (http://www.pahasoft.nl/) for modeltrains. On this 64-bits machine it works fine.
Now I installed it on a 32-bits machine with LinuxMint 13 Xfce and there it does not work. Maybe I did not install the proper programs for this 32-bits machine?
Koploper:works in 64 bits not in 32 bits
Re: Koploper:works in 64 bits not in 32 bits
Bart wine compatibility is wine --version dependant more than 32 bit or 64 bit. So the first thing to check is wine --version on both systems.

Next is get a log and read what wine is telling you. Missing it normally puts a message on the console about it. We mostly don't care about distribution versions we only care about wine version numbers. Why because most distributions can install over 20 different versions of Wine per Distribution version.
LinuxMint 13 and LinuxMint 17 does not give a a single clue what version wine either has.
