Wacom Tablet Pen in Sai (side buttons)

Post by Draekos »

I'm fairly new to Linux, poked at it a few times, finally found a build I liked. I've been setting it up with a friend of mine for the last few hours... you know. the usual.

Anyway, I've run into one final little roadblock. I like to have my front side button to be my eraser tool rather than the back of the pen (especially since the model I have doesn't even HAVE an eraser on the back) and this is a function that Sai does have available. That being said, it doesn't seem to be working.

From what I can tell, the Wacom tablet drivers are taking precedence over the software's options and they only allow for assigning mouse buttons (or key presses) to the side buttons. When I've set the drivers to 'do nothing', the buttons are disabled completely. I've checked Sai's Misc.ini, but that only has solutions for pressure sensitivity.

Is there anything I've missed here? Is something with Wine getting in the way?

Possibly useful additional info:
Tablet is the Wacom Bamboo CTL-470K
Linux Distro is Mint 15 XFCE
