need help installing Warframe

I have been trying to install a FTP game called Warframe via the windows version of steam. I have installed the launcher, and followed several of the steps on this link: http://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/commen ... _on_linux/

I have gotten steam working. I installed warframe, and it crashed the first few times. I changed some settings, and it just seems to hang at "Verifying download cache" after downloading the updates.

I am new-ish to Linux. I used to have a linux box, but that died. I recently formatted my windows hard drive with Ubuntu 12.10. My wine version is Wine 1.6. I used to be pretty good with linux and decent with WINE. I don't remember much.

If you need any more info, please tell me how to get it, and I will give you it. Also, I prefer to do most things via terminal, so if you can give me the terminal commands to do this stuff that would be great.

You didn't mention whether you're on 32 or 64 bit. If 64 bit, try creating a 32 bit wineprefix. The AppDB has a reasonably recent test report that explicitly says 64 bit doesn't work. http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... &iId=27982

That is a common issue with Warframe in Wine. Despite the launcher reporting that its verifying the cache it is actually still downloading. Often the D/L does not complete let it run for a while, then manually verify game cache via the launcher settings, repeat till it works. I actively keep an eye on it (I didnt start it mind you). Page 5 specificity I outline steps in more detail on how to deal with the never ending "verifying game cache".
