Tracking wine traffic under debian

Hello,
I've installed on my Debian Squeeze Wine 1.0.1, but when i try to sniff packets or watch traffic over nethogs I am unable to see the wine apps. How to solve this?
In other words: My wine apps are using internet connection but cant see traffic :/

Your Wine version is over 4 years old and has not been supported in a long time. Upgrade to the current development release.

Also, how did you sniff the packets, exactly? Did you watch the right interface?
