WINE + Counter strike GO

Post by FinCoder »

I have installed the lastest playonlinux (4.19) interface with lastest wine available (1.5.22). I have kubuntu 13.04 with lastest ati drivers, currently 13 something.

I had an issue starting the game it said that I don't have hardware of cabaple to play the game. I used knowledge from forum to bypass this using registery trick.

Then I had problems joining servers. I noticed that I just have to wait.

Then I started to mod the game settings. I noticed that having multiple cores enabled the game somehow lags between frames. Disabling the feature and using only one cpu core takes away the effect.

I am playing with 16:9 1920x1080. Using lower resolution the game goes blank.

I set almost everything to low or medium. The game is playable but I would need some extra boost.

Using ati 7770.

I think, you should try to play using Wine only. PlayOnLinux doesn't supported here.
