Wine causing game to crash

I have seen many threads for this but no answers. I am running Atlantica Online through wine. Patch list install fine. Everything runs fine until I enter my password, after it connects to server, everything freezes and I have to force close. I have tried reinstalling and have downloaded and tried some different versions which all did the same thing. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 64bit(same happens on 32bit also) with wine 1.4. Have installed drivers, vcrun 2005 and 2008, ie7, and d3dx9_36 package. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated because I have no other way to return to game.

The last comment in the bug report indicates the problem seems to be fixed in current Wine for at least one person. Try upgrading to the latest development release.
