ok so basically what I am trying to do is run Civ III under Wine
I am running Ubuntu '12.10' and using Wine 'version 1.4.1'. I installed it using the discs, some people had to copy all three of them to thier hardrives because Wine wasnt reading the install files correctly.
So anyways it installed perfectly. After the install I tried just running the game from the desktop icon Wine had created and after waiting about forty-five seconds and it not launching a window or anything I realized I was getting nowhere
