"Could't find dependent assembly L" about Wintricks.

Post by ken525 »

By Directx9 installation, since there is no MS-Windows CommonControl v6.0 (MSWinCC6.0), an error comes out.
However, only MSWinCC5.8 (cmctl32) is supported if it checks by dlls-list.
Are the present condition and this error nonavoidable?
An error comes out of whether it is because this is the cause by CoGetcjassObject during the test of DirectDraw by dxdiag. Wine version is 1.4.

Please give me a reply.

Your Wine version is old; winetricks is designed to work with the latest development release. You should also make sure you have the latest version of winetricks.

Beyond that, winetricks is a separate project, and any problems with it should be reported to http://winetricks.org.
