Wine icon disappeared from K menu.

Post by Ed B »

New to Wine and am puzzled that the wine goblet icon which was in K menu isn't there now.

I am using Simply Mepis 8.5 and Wine to run Quicken and TaxCut which worked perfectly when I first installed it. Now the only way I have been able to use either program is to browse to the exe file using Dolphin and to start the application from there.

How can I restore the setup as at the time of installation?
Any idea as to why the icon went away?

Thanks for any help you may give!

Thanks for the reply.
I have read the wiki but none of the files I have contain a 'deleted' entry.
The path to my Quicken menu configuration is /home/ed/config/menus/applications-merged/wine-programs-Quicken-Quicken.menu

Is this where the 'deleted' entry should be?
I have searched through the file tree beginning at / and haven't found anything closer to what I was looking for than the entry in the Quicken menu config file.

Wine set up a C: directory and it's not there either.

Thanks for your help, it is very much appreciated.
