Shortcut problem

Post by beuheurk »

Good Morning,

I want to use a hotel management program working with Windows on Ubuntu.

I have installed Wine program.

The intallation of this program is very basic, I just have to copy the local files from an other computer then create a shortcut on the desktop.
But with XP I have to create an argument: « vg-cs.pvx. » in that shortcut to get the program connected with the server.

The problem is that with Linux i Am not able to add this argument, i am actually not sure it's possible.

Is someone know how to do that ?

Thank you very much for all your help.

Sorry about my English, I hope you will understand...

Ok I found it: just use -- and argument.

Now I have an other problem, an authorization one...

The matter is coming from this .pvx, when I open it I get:

[Config]

debug=0

ButtonCursor=0

Icon=c:\Vgcs\pvx\Lib\_Bmp\Vg\Optimsvg.ico

CommandLine=-mn *ntslave -arg 10.100.102.34 vg

[WindowFrame]

TypeSizeLoc=2,663,501,137,69

[Font]

Points=12

Charset=0

Name=Fixedsys

LockFont=1

TipFontName=Tahoma

TipFontPoints=10

SystemFontName=Tahoma

SystemFontPoints=12

[vg.launch]

debugmode=0

Startprogram=axmenu

visualenv=d:\vg\Visualdata\Sysf\

[vg.Program]

ShowMenuDesc=1

ShowOptId=1

ShowFnKeys=1

I think I have to change one of the Windows network adress like: "d:\vg\Visualdata\Sysf\" to a Linux based one...but it is a Win 2003 server so I don't know how to do that...

Mount that with Samba and map d: drive in winecfg to the place where you mounted it.

Thank you very much.
But I have an other problem...(again yes) I am not able to connect Ubuntu to the Win 2003 server with samba or with a direct connection...it appear blank.
It seem there is a bug with Hardy Heron and win 2003 as I seen in a lot of forum.

Thank anyway.
