Sound lagging if using simultaneous sound output

Post by PatricF »

Hi,

I have an Nvidia GTX 560 and I have my TV connected to it and get sound from the graphics-card to the TV. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and in the sound config I can choose to have the sound output simultaneous through the regular soundcard and through the Nvidia card out to my TV. However when I use that option the sound in Wine, only wine, starts to lagg like crazy. It's fine if I use either just the sound card or nvidia but not simultaneously..

Does anyone know why this is and if it's possible to fix it? It's the sound in World of Warcraft at least that starts to lagg, I haven't tried anything else through Wine.

Thanks,
-Patric

Sounds like more pulse audio problems. As for Wine, you'll have to wait 'til next Wine version with any sound issues. Too many things had changed since last release.
