Any good monitoring software?

I bought a new computer with Mac OS X. For personal use, I need some safe monitoring software. I made the relevant searches but none in particular to talk about this software. I want to install this Amac keylogger. My question is, is this software safe? I know that you can use this type of malicious programs, in my case, I installed it on my own computer and want to make sure I do not open the door to intruders. Can any of you give me some suggestions for free versions? Thx in advance
