Text cut off

I'm running wine 1.3.5 on ubuntu 11.04. The application TestGen displays some text normally, but much of it is cut off. The leftmost letters display, but the rest of the letters are often not displayed. I've tried running the program as different versions of windows, but the display doesn't change.

That version is old. Start by upgrading to the current development release.

Okay, I'm now running 1.3.26. I was running 1.3.15 before.
It looks exactly the same.

Can we get a little more information about the program you have problems
with?

What is the exact program name?
Have you looked in the Applications Database for assistance with it?

Lastly, if there is not an Applications Database entry for the program,
is there a demo/trial version available from the company that produces it?

It looks exactly the same.

Try changing DPI (winecfg -> graphics tab).
