Since 98 &/or NT is out of date, is it possible that you can develop Wine with XP or Vista?

The default for Wine already is XP, and there is a Vista option in winecfg. If you don't see these, you must be using a very old version of Wine.

Applications see Wine as XP, not 98 and/or NT. What do you get when you type wine --version? The latest version is 1.0-RC2.
