1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
not sure if its just me or anyone else noticed this... but mouse control in games is basically impossible now in 1.3.15. like holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse to move a character direction just barely moves or jumps, or just stops moving, or then spins around... its horrid. 1.3.14 and earlier are still working fine without that problem.
Is anyone else seeing this? is it only in OSX, or in Linux too?

Could be this: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26310doh123 wrote: Is anyone else seeing this? is it only in OSX, or in Linux too?
the mouse moves and clicks fine...
the only problem is when I'm holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse for character direction movement... all other times the mouse works great.
I'm trying to think of another game I have I can test it on, but right now the only games I have that I can even try that on are Champions Online and Star Trek Online, but they are both the same engine.
I saw there was some mouse and x11 updates in 1.3.15 so was wondering if this is only affecting OSX... see if anyone else saw it happen... but I'll probably have to submit a bug report

I went ahead and tried the patch from that bug, but it didn't change anything for me...dimesio wrote:Could be this: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26310doh123 wrote: Is anyone else seeing this? is it only in OSX, or in Linux too?
I went ahead and put in a bug report... I couldn't find anything similar already in there.

I'm having the same trouble too with the 1.3.15 patch.
On Ubuntu Linux 10.10, I've been playing Day of Defeat. Since this latest patch, the mouse is really insensitive when used to control my character. If I turn up the sensitivity, things get jerky and there's weird non linear acceleration. Makes it very hard to play.

Please add the info to the bug report-OOPSIE- wrote:I'm having the same trouble too with the 1.3.15 patch.

I already did regression testing using Champions Online... it took forever, but hopefully it'll help them get it fixed.

Re: 1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
The only two games I have right now that do this is Champions Online (which is free, but large download) and Star Trek Online. They both are the same Engine though. NWN1 lets you hold the middle mouse button and move the camera around, which seems to work fine... but I think it has something to do with the mouse vanishing. When I did the Git version it had the same issue, but I was able to do the regression testing fine seeing it come or go on each step. It may or may not happen on every program, I have no idea... it might depend on how the pointer is being handled.James McKenzie wrote:On Fri, Mar 4, 2011 at 10:50 PM, doh123 <[email protected]> wrote:Is this for every program you run, doh123? the downloader does not work right in Wine. So ignore the file downloaded there and follow one of the links to a 3rd party download site. i think I did the File Shack one and it lets you download the entire thing which is like 3gb.
The AppDB entry is here.

The game runs great in Wine really, the mouse issue is just new in 1.3.15.
You have to install IE7 to get it to work though... the login/patcher won't work right with just Gecko....and I had to set mmdevapi to disabled to get audio.
