Witcher 2 - DRM removal

Post by tparker »

I know I have seen posts recently of people trying to get this game to
run through wine and did not know if the DRM on the game was a part of
the issues they were running into. I'm sending this through just in case
it helps: "A little over a week after its release, /The Witcher 2/ is
getting its first patch, and with it all versions of the game will now
be DRM free...With version 1.1, however, it will be removed from every
version of the game."

Useful info,
Discussions of DRM removal software are off limits here. Use of such
products, while legal where you are (or so YOU say) are NOT legal in the
United States and elsewhere.

Except when it's the vendor itself removing the DRM from its own products;
that's ok to mention.

Thank you for the correction. I was very tired when I posted that.
Yes, removal of DRM by the software manufacturer is ALWAYS encouraged.
