Can anyone use steam right now?

Post by zorgoth »

I just got a steam update and steam stopped working. It didn't work in wine 1.1.43 (which I had at the time) or wine 1.2rc1 (which I installed to try to fix it) including after a reinstall. Does anyone currently have steam working with the new update? If so, what version of wine are you using?

In the future I am going to back up my .wine directory with steam set to offline mode so this can't happen again.

I am using Fedora 12.

It took several minutes for my Steam to login just then but it is working.

If yours is failing to login at all delete ClientRegistry.blob from
your Steam directory.
