Printing/Creating PDF Files

Post by Juan Largo »

Hi,

This is my first post here. I'm trying to create PDF files from other applications running in Wine 0.9.56. I've installed Autosketch Release 5 and Adobe Acrobat Writer V4.0 in Wine (in that order). Each of these programs work well in Wine by themselves, but I can't figure out how to get Autosketch to use Adobe Writer to create PDF files.

Yay!

I haven't tried it, but some say that cups-pdf will do this for you.
What Linux distro are you using, btw? And is it 32 or 64 bits?

The thread at

suggests trouble if you're running 64 bit linux.

Windows-based pdf printer drivers ought to work eventually,
but I'm not enough of a printer guy to know if they work now.
The question's come up before:

Thanks, Dan. The cups-pdf solution looks like it might work. Since all my applications in wine recognize my default printer, they should also recognize cups-pdf when it's set up properly.
