Winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and Flash 8

Post by pcdoctor »

The program winedevice.exe has caused a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvience.
I'm running Macromedia Flash 8 when this error occurs.
I'm also unable to run the "Uninstall Wine Software" program.
When I click it, nothing happens.
This happens with wine 1.1.22 and 1.1.23.
Any ideas?
Thx!

With .24 I get a different error when trying to run flash.
I get "winemenubuilder" has caused and error.
With .19 I don't get any error when running flash 8 but when using dreamweaver 8 and I insert a flash file into dreamweaver, dreamweaver freezes.

I think I'm going to use an older version of flash that is faster and doesn't give the winemenubuilder or other error. Thx for your help!

I had to go back to flash 8 because I have the book "How to Cheat in Flash CS3: The art of design and animation in Adobe Flash CS3" that requires Flash 8 or Flash CS3. I fixed my "winedevice.exe" and "winebuilder.exe" errors by adding the disable the GUI crash dialog registry key.
