Installing a Multiple Disc Program

Post by telepete »

Hi all,
I'm trying to install a game that has 3 discs. When the installation prompts for the next disc, clicking "ok" to continue the installation just causes the same message to appear again. The disc is in the drive but the installation does not continue.

A Question For You...

Post by MooTM »

Are you having problems ejecting the disk, or getting it to register?

For ejecting:
Type into the terminal 'wine eject d:'
(replace 'd:' with whatever drive the disk is in')

For getting the computer to register that the disk is in:
Try opening the disk in a file manager, (e.g. the windows version would be 'Windows Explorer') that sometimes gets the computer to realise that there is a disk (with information on) inserted. Then keep clicking continue until it does what it's meant to.

Hope that helps!
