I let Wine update automatically in my MXLinux (debian 12 with wine-staging 9.3) and I had to go back to the previous wine-stagine 9.2 version with a backup.
With 9.3:
When I open an application (Photofiltre StudioX in this case)
I can't access any other application on the system, only the one under wine works, I have to close it to get access to my desktop again.
I've never had this problem with previous versions.
