WINE: Low Level USB device access - anyone aware of changes?

A major issue in the past for WINE was it could not get low level access to USB so that apps running in WINE could access devices attached via USB (keyboard controllers, instruments that can be edited with APPS via direct USB access etc etc..)

I was wondering if anyone knows if this issue has been solved or is it still ongoing?

I did a cursory search at WINE and got not much really.

Obviously not (judging by number of views with no response) - so WINE still has a long way to go then!
