Hi Everyone,
So in my line of work we are using Futronic Fingerprint Readers, model FS80 (https://www.futronic-tech.com/products.php?pd_id=126). They connect using USB. Linux finds the USB device just fine. However I cannot get it to work under Wine. The Windows installer dies with an error for installing the drivers.
Basically, if anyone knows, how do we get USB devices be recognized in a wine bottle?

Re: Futronic Fingerprint Scanner - USB connectivity issues
You cannot install Windows drivers in Wine. First, make sure the fingerprint scanner works properly in Linux. Try running the Linux demo first, if that works try the Windows demo.

Cool, i am switching to Java. So the fingerprint driver works in Linux, lsusb finds the device correctly. I am gonna try the linux demo and also the windows demos but I doubt it will work. I know in Windows itself the futronic drivers need to be there in order for the windows demo to work.
