Struggling as a noob

Hey all
I'm struggling with a few things, and I can't seem to find answers in the manuals, etc.
First, I've installed Wine through Homebrew using wine-stable (brew install --cask --no-quarantine wine-stable) and the instructions imply that after that you can do "wine foo.exe" and things will run, but for me, it only has wine64, not just wine.
Second, and this may be related, I am trying to install Steam from the executable, and it's opening a window, but never goes anywhere - the resulting window is blank. I read somewhere that I may need winetricks, but even after a restart, that hasn't made a difference. I do get a load of fixme messages in the Terminal window, but none of them match other things in this forum (e.g. fixme:imm:ImeSetActiveContext (numbers)
fixme:imm:ImmReleaseContext)
Any thoughts?

Steam on Windows is a 32 bit program.

You need to use wine-devel and use the launch command provided by winetricks for Steam to launch successfully.
