Currently AppDB lists Wine 7.0.2 as the latest pre-8 release. Given that the latest CrossOver based distributions are of 7.7, should the Wine versions be updated to reflect this?
The only reason I am testing with CrossOver based distributions, on macOS, is because of Steam and the x86on64 support being in a better state than the experimental WoW864 support in Wine 8. For my games I wouldn't need 32 bit support, if it was not for Steam still being a 32-bit binary.

Re: AppDB and Wine versions
Test reports for third party Wine versions, including Crossover, are not accepted in the AppDB.
Re: AppDB and Wine versions
In that case, is there any workaround to allow testing 64-bit apps that require Steam to install and launch?
I tried Wine 8 and WoW64 is not in a good enough state to allow Steam to be installed. There is no 64-version of Steam.

Post your problem with installing Steam in the MacOS subforum.
