Old MS-Windows App doesn't Help menu

Post by jotape1960 »

I use Ubuntu-Studio 22.04.1 LTS and WineHQ 7.0.0.

I often use and old MS-Windows App, the best known Adobe Audition 1.5 audio editor.

Since a while, when I upgraded the main operating system from 20.04 to 22.04, I cannot open and/or read the Help menu of this app.

Each time I try it, I just get and error about the file is illegible, was moved and/or I don't have the rights to open it.

But, I have the Main User with all the system rights!

Even, all the Help files are in the right folders, in good health.

So... I don't understand this problem.

I didn't have this problem with the prior Ubuntu-Studio version (20.04).

How can I fix it?

WineHQ does not (yet) have wine-7.0.0 packages for Ubuntu Jammy, nor has Ubuntu.
Could it be you are using a Wine version that was made for another Ubuntu version?

Does the terminal output show something about this when you start the program from the command line?
